Lakeside Bar & Grille
About This Spot
Stepping into Lakeside Bar & Grille, you’re met with a welcome that’s unpretentious and quietly inviting — the kind of place where time slows just enough to enjoy a good meal and easy conversation. Despite its lakeside name, the spot feels more like a cozy local retreat tucked away on Mystic Lake Drive, where familiar faces mix with travelers passing through and families settling into booths that invite lingering.
The atmosphere carries a relaxed, neighborhood rhythm. There’s a casual hum of friendly chatter, punctuated by the clink of glasses and the subtle background shuffle of plates being served. A single waitress moving steadily through the space often reflects the thoughtful, personal attention the staff brings to the room. It’s that steady heart of service that gently guides the experience without the pressure or formalities of bigger establishments.
Here, traditional bar and grill fare comes to life with hearty portions and comforting flavors — from crispy coconut shrimp perched atop fresh greens to the kind of burgers and sandwiches that feel like shared memories around a well-worn table. The kitchen favors generous servings that invite sharing and savoring, a perfect match for the friendly, laid-back vibe inside. Meanwhile, the drink menu leans toward classics, offering cocktails crafted with approachable balance—perfect for an easy afternoon or the early winding down of a day by the lake.
For those arriving by car or the occasional RV, spacious parking and a nearby collection of quaint shops add to the sense that this place isn’t just a stop, but a little community hub where a road trip pause stretches into a few extra moments of rest and connection. It’s the kind of hidden gem where the energy feels genuine, not staged, making it a quietly satisfying find amid Michigan’s lakeside venues.
Whether you’re drawn here by the prospect of a no-fuss meal or simply a welcoming seat at the bar, Lakeside Bar & Grille offers a grounded, approachable space where the focus is as much on human connection as it is on food — moments that linger gently alongside the all-American classics that keep people coming back.

I was expecting a lake view of some sort. Nope. Cute little bar with tables and booths. Food was good. Service was good. Prices were reasonable.

Great service, we stopped there on our way back from our road trip. Nice shops nearby as well, the food was so good and big portions.

It's a bar. Only one waitress. She did a great job, though. Wife has coconut shrimp. The shrimp were the biggest I've ever seen.

I ordered the perch and my son ordered a burger it was very delicious, and the portions was generous, and the dessert pie was excellent. We would definitely come back again

Seated immediately, lakeside and Sunny took our order quickly. She was friendly, helpful and professional. Drinks and food were quick. I wish I could say the food was fantastic but it was just so-so. I had the Crispy Chicken Mac & Cheese w/garlic toast and lobster bisque soup. The soup was ok, nothing special. The entree was on the salty side (the whole dish) and I didn't finish. I did take it home so I could tweak it because the portion size was huge. My hubby ordered the Smokey Mountain Chicken w/a side of vegetables. He said it was just ok. He did like the mushroom soup. Expected a better food experience but we will try them again on a different night.
